The Lake House Restaurant

The restaurant offers magnificent views through wonderfully large windows to the treetops and shores of the lake. Large expanses of outdoor deck also offer the opportunity for aperitif with beautiful views.

A team passionate about hospitality delivers beautiful, modern, seasonal food matched with wines from one of Australia’s best wine lists. Under the direction of Culinary Director Alla Wolf-Tasker AM, the kitchen work with great Australian produce including a raft of excellent small scale local suppliers and growers and their own Dairy Flat Farm.

Cooking classes are held in the purpose-built Cooking School kitchen at Lake House. Learn from some of Australia’s best & most interesting chefs, producers, growers & winemakers.

Hepburn Springs Historic Bathhouse

Hepburn Springs’ only historic Bathhouse, has been providing traditional wellness bathing since 1895.

Drawing mineral-rich waters directly from the natural source, this iconic bathhouse reconnects you with an array of mineral wellness experiences including indulgent 100% pure private mineral baths and a selection of specifically designed wellness packages.

Daylesford Cider Company

Walk through the well established orchards growing a range of cider apples including 17 different English heritage varieties, all Australian Certified Organic. The onsite English-style Tavern cellar-door is open daily for tastings & take away sales, with a restaurant that operates Friday to Monday.

Discover an impressive & varied range of ciders, with a focus more towards the traditional methods & styles that herald the quality cider apples they grow. Whether you prefer your cider dry & tannin driven, or something lighter or fruitier, there is a style to match most palates and any occasion.

Arrive Daylesford

Check into the beautiful Lake House anytime from 3pm.

Once you’re settled, take a wander out to see the Convent Gallery, which houses seven galleries featuring work by over 100 artists from all over the world. Featuring fine art, sculpture, limited edition prints, ceramics, glassware and textiles, the exhibition program, changing every eight weeks, showcases a diverse array of traditional and contemporary artwork.

Dinner is at the award – winning Lake House Restaurant. Enjoy a 4-course menu constructed by the fabulous Alla Wolf-Tasker using produce sourced locally and from Lake House’s own farm Dairy Flat Farm.

Hepburn Springs Historic Bathhouse

Spend some time relaxing in the mineral rich waters of this iconic bathhouse, including a relaxation pool, spa pool, aroma steam room, magnesium salt therapy pool, monsoon showers, creek side pool, walk-in cool down pool and spa couches submerged in mineral water, complemented by extensive relaxation decks. When you’re ready, treat yourself to a massage and facial, designed to give you maximum relaxation. The heritage listed Pavilion built in 1908 is the perfect back drop for a relaxing lunch or Devonshire tea with freshly made scones and jam.

In the afternoon go wandering down Daylesford’s main street hunting for antiques and homewares.

For dinner try one of the many beautiful local restaurants, Betel Boy does amazing pan Asian or why not try Beppe Kitchen for traditional Italian.

Lake House Master Class

Join the Lake House chefs for a hands-on Masterclass; an exclusive opportunity to work with two of the award-winning team in producing a three-course seasonal menu. Spend a few hours working with the region’s best produce; learn new techniques, tips and ideas. A sit-down lunch comprises of the dishes that were prepared by you.
In the afternoon go Cider Tasting at Daylesford Cider Co.
Visit the orchards and the cider mill to learn about the English heritage apple varieties, see the actual equipment, and get an overview of cider-making. Enjoy the private tour and private cider tasting workshop of Daylesford Cider Company’s full range of award-winning ciders to finish with a cup of coffee or tea. What’s more – you get to take home a personalised bottle of cider as your personal souvenir.
