Melbourne’s Arts & Sport
Visit 2 of Melbourne’s iconic venues, the world-famous MCG and the Melbourne Art Centre where the Australian Ballet is based. The morning is spent doing a behind the scenes visit with the Australian Ballet. Watch from your theatre seat as the dancers go through their morning training routine, with commentary by artistic staff, then sit in as the top dancers rehearse for an upcoming production. The afternoon is a change of pace with a visit to the MCG. Walk through the Australian Sports Museum where you will see the largest collection of sporting memorabilia. Then go for a behind the scenes tour of the loved MCG, visit the players change rooms, the famous MCC Long Room and a walk on the hallowed turf.

Exploring the streets of Melbourne & visit the theatre
Meet up with a local street artist and uncover Melbourne’s street art scene on a guided laneways tour, unlock your arty side as you create your own masterpiece to take home on an expert led spray-painting stencil workshop. The afternoon/evening is reserved for a visit to the theatre. Prepared to be amazed by Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. This critically acclaimed play is in 2 parts leaving enough time in between to savor one of the many restaurants located in “the Paris End” of Melbourne.

Visit the world-renowned Melbourne Zoo, Australia’s oldest zoo celebrating its 158th birthday in 2020. A private car will transfer you to to the zoo where you’ll meet the critically endangered Western Lowland Gorillas and the passionate keeper who cares for them. In this exclusive experience, you’ll learn about the complex social order of our primate cousins before going behind the scenes to leave them a snack or two. Finally, you’ll head to the VIP viewing platform to watch these critically endangered animals enjoy your treats – and maybe even a ‘pleasure grumble’ as they eat! A picnic basket & blanket is provided for a leisurely lunch on one of the grassed areas.

Feast and slumber overnight in the historic elephant exhibit of Melbourne Zoo. Dine in the Elephant House, explore the Zoo after dark, and listen to wild animal stories from your hosts before settling into your private tent for a night amongst the wildlife. Wake in the morning to the calls of gibbons and birds and enjoy breakfast before a chance to meet the keepers and experience up-close animal encounters and life behind the scenes.

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and leave bags with concierge. Spend the morning exploring the streets of Melbourne, visiting Federation Square, walking the banks of the Yarra River and eating gourmet delights.
