It’s almost here! The long-awaited New Zealand travel bubble officially starts on April 19, 2021. This means Australians are able to visit New Zealand without having to quarantine and vice versa.
You’ve likely already heard all about it but here are some quick facts we think you might have missed.
- Be careful what/how you book
Make sure you’re booking on the green flights, with reputable hotels and travel providers. At TTFN Travel we can manage your New Zealand bookings and will be on top of all changes from the time you book to the time you return home. If there are any changes to your plans we’ll possibly know before you do and will proactively work with you to rearrange your bookings as needed.
- Make sure you can be contacted
One of the travel requirements is to ensure you supply ‘comprehensive’ contact information to the New Zealand authorities. So you’ll either need to turn your mobile roaming on full time and be at the mercy of your providers fees and charges or arrange for a local NZ sim card/phone.
You’ll also need to be checking in throughout your stay with the NZ Tracer App, so ensure your phone is able to download and operate the app to make it as easy as possible when travelling the country.
- Don’t forget your passport!
Although in some respects New Zealand is ‘another state of Australia’ you still need to dust off the passport and the standard rules apply, it needs to be valid for 6 months after your return to Australia
